Shipping to Canada (Options, Brokerage, Taxes)

Depending on your location, here are the typical options available when shipping to Canada.

  • Post Office (Priority Mail)
  • FEDEX (Expedited, Economy or Ground shipments)

If shipping costs for small items and single replacement pieces seem too expensive, USPS 1st Class Package may be as an option. We have many years of experience in shipping to Canada and the same safe shipping practices are maintained that we follow for U.S. domestic shipments. The main consideration is brokerage and tax expense for you, the customer. Canada Customs requires Canadian recipients to pay applicable duties and taxes on each shipment entering Canada. How much are taxes? They vary by province from 5% to 15%.

FEDEX Shipping to Canada - what you need to know about brokerage costs
A brokerage fee is also charged to process shipments and present the requisite customs paperwork to Canada Customs on the importers behalf. Typically brokerage fees are due at delivery; however, you have the ability to call FEDEX ahead of time (1-800-463-3339) to pay these charges, eliminating the need for payment on delivery.
